Foreign Language Program

The Foreign Language Program

As we prepare our students for their careers and future prospects, it is the endeavour of the school to upgrade their skillset to the optimum. The knowledge of a foreign language will give them a definite edge in their future pursuits –academic or career related, whether in India or for that matter anywhere around the globe.

Students at Delhi Public School Patiala are offered French as a foreign language from class V onwards and students enjoy learning this globally popular language In fact, this cultural and linguistic opportunity provides unique prospects for all the students pursuing the program.

Offering French as a foreign language was a clear choice as other than English, French language is the only language spoken on all five continents, and is the sixth most widely spoken language in the world

At DPS Patiala, French as a foreign language program has been carefully designed to help students to pick up the nuances of the language and help them imbibe the language skills that will allow them to be successful in their academic work and confident in everyday communication.

A well-qualified French teacher helps deliver the academic content, and also heads the French Activity Club of the school. This club provides a platform for the students to explore the language and the country of France, as a whole, through multifarious activities and competitive events.
